Submit Referral
Use our encrypted online portal or contact us directly to initiate a referral. We accept documents from case managers, parole, and treatment providers.

Clinical Assessment
Within 24 hours, our clinical team reviews the history and conducts a screening to ensure Dewey House is the right environment for the candidate's stability.

Direct Placement
Once approved, we coordinate transportation and intake logistics. Partners receive a confirmation report and an established communication plan.
Communication & Reporting
We prioritize transparent collaboration with case managers and legal officers. Our team provides consistent, data-driven updates to ensure all partners remain informed on resident progress, compliance milestones, and any incidents that require immediate coordination.

Referral Criteria
Dewey House is currently accepting referrals for our waitlist. We encourage you to submit referrals as they come up, we'll follow up with timing and next steps so you can set accurate expectations with your client.
Dewey House accepts referrals for individuals 18+ years old who are medically and psychiatrically stable for a community setting, willing to follow house structure and expectations, and present no documented safety risk to others.
Criteria by House Type
* All rooms are shared unless otherwise noted / requested
Early Recovery Houses
- Minimum 7–14 days of sobriety prior to intake
- Active participation in a minimum of 5 recovery meetings weekly
- High structural oversight requirements for behavioral stability
Long-Term Recovery Houses
- Demonstrated stability in early recovery milestones
- Full-time engagement in work, school, or volunteer service
- Peer mentorship commitment within the house community
Reentry Houses
- Clear communication with probation or parole officers
- Adherence to specific community supervision boundaries
- Focus on successful reintegration and civic responsibility
Young Adult Transition Houses
- Ages 18–26 with a focus on life skills development
- Active pursuit of educational or vocational training goals
- Willingness to engage in age-appropriate peer accountability
